A  Healing Journey:
Yoga, Hypnotherapy, Plant Medicine & Cleansing Food
Palm Springs, CA

RETREAT SYNOPSIS

This healing journey offers much more than your average yoga retreat! During our 4 night/5 day yoga and healing journey, you will be well-pampered while being encouraged to dive deep into your heart and soul to cleanse, purify and heal the mind and body. You will look honestly upon your attachments, un-forgiveness, fear, trauma, negative thought patterns and resistance to life, so that you can see where you are holding yourself back.

As humans we often hear, “get out of your own way,” but we’re not clear as to how we’re in our own way. Once we observe our self-sabotaging beliefs, we can move through our shadow frequencies and cultivate oneness with our higher selves, our souls, and source energy itself. As we become honest with ourselves about our shadows, we can heal them; and as we heal our shadows, we begin live the life of freedom and joy that source intended for each of us.

While the emphasis of this retreat will be on yoga, hypnotherapy, nutrition and sound baths for healing, we will be offering one plant medicine ceremony with psilocybin. Research from Johns Hopkins University asserts that mushrooms provide the only proven cure for depression (cure, not band-aid) and are far superior to SSRIs for healing and re-wiring the brain (unlike many other amazing plants, mushrooms can also be combined with SSRIs). Plant medicine is incredibly effective for treating depression, trauma, PTSD, anxiety and even addiction. In the state of California mushrooms are decriminalized, so this deep healing work can be shared with all who choose to engage with it.

Lead by Jodi Arnold, a skilled and trained facilitator, the mushroom ceremony that will be offered during this retreat will be accessible to first time participants as well as experienced journeyers. There will be ample coaching around the topic of dosing and we hope that all retreat attendees will participate. You will be in charge or your own journey as you will be in control of your dosing. You can keep your dose sub-perception and enjoy a deep, guided meditation or launch yourself into the cosmos!

RETREAT STAFF

Join three medicine sisters, who bring their diverse experience and training as well as their personal commitment to their own expansion of consciousness and healing, to this amazing retreat:

JAIME SCATES SCHMITZ – YOGA INSTRUCTOR & CERTIFIED HYPNOTHERAPIST

Jaime is a gifted Ashtanga and Baptiste trained yoga teacher with 17 years of full-time teaching experience and a dedicated explorer of consciousness. Jaime has been deeply committed to her own path of healing and self-discovery. Through yoga, meditation and therapeutic/ceremonial plant medicine journeys, Jaime constantly works to better understand herself, integrate the awakening process, heal negativity and residual trauma, and align to the divine. Through her commitment to personal growth and expanded consciousness, so much beautiful healing, awareness and alignment have occurred, and she remains steadfast on the path. Born from her desire to help others along the way, Jaime is currently studying hypnotherapy and will be a certified hypnotherapist by August 2024. She remains committed to the journey of awakening and healing for herself and the collective as she believes that as we heal ourselves, we heal the planet. Jaime shares her practices with humor, levity, joy and humility.

JODI ARNOLD –  PLANT MEDICINE FACILITATOR & YOGA INSTRUCTOR

Jodi began her healing journey in 2009 after the birth of her second child.  She discovered yoga as a place of refuge and relief from the demands of motherhood and life.  Within a few years, Jodi became a 500HR certified yoga teacher with a focus on Anusara and Power Vinyasa.  In 2017, she started teaching in studios around Seattle as well as corporations up and down the west coast and continues to do so today with much joy and enthusiasm.

In 2018, out of spiritual curiosity, Jodi decided to explore the world of psychedelics with a highly skilled shaman in Southern California.  The impact and awakening from just one ceremony was so deep and life changing she knew she had found her home. Over the years self-doubt, negative attachments, cyclical negativity has slowly alleviated with ease and grace. Thus, Jodi began her psychedelic practitioner training with Synthesis Institute, considered the global leader and gold standard for education and professional facilitation with this profound and transformational work.  Jodi is deeply committed to her path of expansion and self-realization, creating beauty, balance, and harmony for herself and those she has the honor to teach and serve.

MORGAN MOLIDOR – NUTRITIONIST & CHEF

Morgan is a clinical nutritionist and chef passionate about bringing the gifts of food to her clients and community. With a master’s degree in nutrition and a penchant for curiosity, Morgan brings a wealth of scientific knowledge to her clients along with a great desire to help them achieve their health goals. She has guided hundreds of clients through therapeutic diets and lifestyle changes and facilitated real health transformation. Morgan has many tools that allow her work to be more intentional including nearly ten years with plant medicines, therapeutic modalities, and breath work.

In recent years, cooking became Morgan’s meditation. She loves bringing people together around sustainable nutrient-dense food and sharing joy around the table. In her culinary work, her goal is to communicate versatility and boldness while allowing the subtle essence of healthy food to speak for itself. When she’s able to merge healthy nutrient-rich foods with her knowledge of nutrition, she is fully aligned with her life’s mission.

“When you [ingest] the herb, it reveals you to yourself.” – Bob Marley

Since the beginning of time, man and womb-man have been altering consciousness to reach deeper states of awareness, mystical experiences and spiritual connection. Micheal Pollan’s newest book and NYT best seller, How to Change Your Mind, brings the healing properties of sacred plants into mainstream awareness.

In many parts of the US cannabis is legal; but so often it is misused and abused. Cannabis is not just a modality for escapism. Santa Maria is a sacred plant and a powerful healing teacher and ally. When used ceremonially, Santa Maria provides the beautiful potential to expand our consciousness and connect us to the deeper truths of the cosmos. Many people who swear that they “hate pot”  have used it inappropriately and love when they use it ceremonially.

Cannabis is safe, non-toxic and non addictive;  its anti-inflammatory and anti-disease capacities are miraculous. As a psychotropic medicine, Cannabis is a sedating medicine that takes us into a deep, restful state of lucid dreaming and heart opening. When coupled with sound healing, the potential of the medicine to help us heal is stunning.

Yoga will be used to open the ceremony and allow the medicine to penetrate the mind and body before we relax onto our mats for the journey.
