Today’s mantra: “Honor my lineage.” Today I’ve been thinking about lineage as a student and a teacher. Two teachers that I do not know personally, but teachers who have guided and inspired me for years, popped into my Instagram. Many moons ago, as a newbie yogini, Shiva Rea conducted the very first workshop I attended: it was during that weekend that I knew I would teach. Jai Uttal’s kirtan and beats have been keeping me and my classes in the flow for years. So when I saw their names in my feed, my heart leapt because I felt the resonance with my teachers, my lineage. In the same day, I ran an “audition” for a beloved student of mine. She did TT with me two years ago and has created her own authentic vibe and spectacular teaching style. So today, with a connection to my teachers and my students: I felt my lineage. It’s so special and it’s so sacred.
