From left to right –

Lakshmi is the goddess of light, beauty, good fortune and wealth. She signifies love and grace. She is often worshipped for abundance, but she only blesses those who are willing to devote hard work.

Saraswati is the goddess of learning, knowledge and wisdom. Her four arms represent the four aspects of the human learning: mind, intellect, alertness and ego. In one hand she holds a book to represent knowledge, in another a crystal mala to represent spirit, in another she holds pot of water to represent creativity and in the fourth arm she holds the musical instrument to represent the perfection of art and science.

Shiva is both destroyer and re-creator. He is depicted in many forms, but as the Lord of the Dance, he brings the dance/cycle of life to an end in order for a new cycle to begin. Om namah Shivaya is my favorite Sanskrit mantra, it reminds me that death and loss are never real, and no matter how painful they may feel, they are simply creating space for something new.

Ganesh is the remover of evil and obstacles. The son of Shiva and Parvati, his elephant head denotes wisdom, the trunk the universal sound of all creation, Om. The mouse he rides conveys that is humble enough to ride the lowliest of all creatures and Ganesh’s large ears symbolize his willingness to hear humanity’s prayers. In India, he is the most beloved and worshiped of all Hindu deities.

In the background there is a shungite pyramid. I have shungite pyramids all over my house, I wear a shungite bracelet and I have shungite disks attached to all WiFi devices that my family uses. Hailing from the Karelia region of Russia, this ancient stone has been named “The Stone of Life.” Swiss and Russian scientists have determined  a Shungite pyramid is a revolutionary shielding device for harmful electromagnetic radiation from computers, microwave ovens, TV sets, mobile phones. A good option to help mitigate the nasty effects of the EMF soup that we swim in living in an urban environment.
